What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in the body that helps keep the skin hydrated and plump. In aesthetic treatments, it is used in gel form to fill wrinkles, increase facial volume and improve skin hydration.
Other causes of nasal obstruction
Until adolescence, nasal obstruction can occur, in addition to other causes, due to excessive growth of the adenoids (adenoid hypertrophy). In most people, obstruction occurs due to excessive growth of turbinates, deviation or loss of support of the nose, or polyp-type lesions.
Where is Hyaluronic Acid most frequently used?
Hyaluronic acid is commonly used on areas of the face such as the lips, cheeks, nasolabial lines, and marionette grooves. It can also be used to improve overall skin hydration and to plump up specific areas that have lost volume.
How long do the effects of Hyaluronic Acid last?
The effects of hyaluronic acid typically last between 6 and 12 months, depending on the treated area and the individual patient’s response. Over time, hyaluronic acid is broken down naturally in the body. To maintain the results, regular maintenance treatments are recommended.
